Pytania rozłączne – Question tags

Pytania rozłączne (question tags) są często używane w języku mówionym. Ich celem jest podtrzymanie rozmowy. Są to mini-pytania, które stawiamy na końcu zdania i możemy je za każdym razem tłumaczyć na język polski jako ‘nieprawdaż’. Aby utworzyć pytania rozłączne używamy czasowników pomocniczych takich jak: do, did, have, can, will, be, itp. Jeśli zdanie jest twierdzące, to pytanie rozłączne musi zawierać przeczenie. Z kolei jeśli zdanie jest przeczące, to pytanie rozłączone musi być twierdzące. Poniższe przykłady podzielone na konkretne czasy, powinny Wam pomóc w lepszym zrozumieniu.

 

Pytania rozłączne – Question tags

Present Simple – czasownik ‘być’

Anna is at home, isn’t she?                                             Anna isn’t at home, is she?
You are busy, aren’t you?                                                You aren’t busy, are you?

 

Present Simple

Caroline plays the guitar, doesn’t she?                          Caroline doesn’t play the guitar, does she?
We like oranges, don’t we?                                             We don’t like oranges, do we?

 

Present Continuous

We are having a great time, aren’t we?                          We aren’t having a great time, are we?
He is reading an interesting book, isn’t he?                   He isn’t reading an interesting book, is he?

 

Present Perfect

He has already gone, hasn’t he?                                     He hasn’t already gone, has he?
They have sold their house, haven’t they?                      They haven’t sold their house, have they?

 

Past Simple – czasownik ‘być’

She was ill, wasn’t she?                                                   She wasn’t ill, was she?
We were at the cinema, weren’t we?                               We weren’t at the cinema, were we?

 

Past Simple

She visited her grandmother, didn’t she?                 She didn’t visit her grandmother, did she?
You spent a weekend at home, didn’t you?              You didn’t spend a weekend at home, did you?

 

Past Continuous

He was driving really fast, wasn’t he?                              He wasn’t driving very fast, was he?
They were playing football, weren’t they?                       They weren’t playing football, were they?

 

Future Simple

I will go to the supermarket, won’t I?                               I won’t go to the supermarket, will I?
She will do her homework, won’t she?                             She won’t do her homework, will she?

 

Modal verbs

She should go to the dentist, shouldn’t she?                She shouldn’t go to the dentist, should she?
You can sing, can’t you?                                                You can’t sing, can you?

 

Warto uważać na kilka wyjątków, które po prostu trzeba zapamiętać:

  • Let’s eat out tonight, shall we?

  • Don’t be rude to her, will you?

  • I’m stupid, aren’t I?
