Styl artykułu na egzaminie B2 First (FCE) jest raczej neutralny lub osobisty w zależności od jego tematyki. Pisząc artykuł nie musimy używać języka formalnego, dlatego możemy z powodzeniem używać form skróconych i języka bardziej potocznego. W artykule dobrze jest podawać różne przykłady, ponieważ w ten sposób sprawiamy, że jest on bardziej żywy. Limit słów na egzaminie B2 First (FCE) w przypadku artykułu to 140 – 190 słów.

MUSIC AND ME
Nowadays music is everywhere. We can hear it on the radio, in the restaurant, in the shop. We can listen to it with our friends, alone and sing with them, or on our own, in the bed, crying and sleeping. There are lots of music universities and courses. In my opinion, it is really good because music is beautiful and helpful.
Personally, I listen to music all the time. In the mornings, when I’m getting ready for school, before sleeping, with my friends at parties, during mental breakdowns.
I choose type of music depending on my feelings. I listen to hard rock and metal when I have to be fast and conscious. Piano music helps me calm down before an exam. And pop cheers me up after crying. I think it’s awesome that few melodies can do so much.
I definitely recommend listening to music, different types of music. It does not only affect feeling, but also increase creativity or help to make friends.

IS KNOWING ENGLISH THE MOST USEFUL SKILL?
People are learning new things every day. Some of them are useful, like cooking or driving a car, and some are not, for example speed reading a book. Have you ever considered what’s the most useful thing you have learned in your whole life? I have and I think for me it’s knowledge of English.
I’ve been learning this language for ten years, but of course not on my own. English is an obligatory subject in Polish schools, so I’m being taught there, and also on my extra classes. Moreover, since my English has improved, I can listen to native speakers on social media and learn from them.
I think that a command of English is a very useful skill because it’s the second most spoken language in the world and that knowledge simplifies communication between people. So I would highly recommend learning English, or if it’s your mother tongue or you know it very well, learning some other languages, because you will be able to understand more people from abroad.

You have decided to write an article about your favourite computer game for a magazine for young people called Funtime. Write the article, describing the game and explaining why you would recommend it to other readers.
The game of all time – ‘The Sims 4’
Today I want to tell you about my favourite game – ‘The Sims 4’. It’s an old and very popular game, so I think you’ve heard of it before.
This game is a life simulation game. You create a person, choose a gender, clothes and personal characteristics for them. Next is buying and decorating a house for your Sim (the character you play). And now, everything is ready to start simulating a life! You can do whatever you want! You can make friends, start working or develop your Sim’s skills.
If you ever get bored with your current character, you can easily create a new one with a different life!
And there are also lots of expansion packs, game packs and stuff packs, which enrich the game.
I can really recommend this game! You will never get bored with it and what’s more you can develop, for example, your architecture skills.
